Mammoth Construction, a construction project management company based in Indiana, seeks vital elements of a growing team for extended site projects in the Midwest. “Traveling Superintendents” will be paid per diem in addition to base salary w/project goal commissions and are expected to be onsite on weekdays during the construction build process. This is an excellent opportunity for those with solid commercial construction knowledge who like fast-paced build processes. Please only apply if you have prior experience in site supervision building retail facilities, or other commercial work. Experience will determine the pay scale.
The ideal candidate(s) should be both company and project minded. You must be willing to work as a traveling Site Superintendent for projects in Indiana, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio, and others (more location opportunities to follow). There will be onsite expectations at multiple sites, requiring clear communication skills via phone, email, and text. This will also require travel between locations and occasionally to the home office in Indy. We would love to hire someone who respects the brand ambassador purpose of this role. Our clients’ outcomes are essential to us, and we wish to hire only people willing to share this responsibility as a collective.
Our desire to hire a Site Super includes a willingness to train on our primary software systems. These currently include Procore and the Office 365 Suite. Transferring skills include GANTT processes, spreadsheets, documents, time/expense systems, daily reports, change order management, MSDS sheets, as-Built reviews, scope management, safety Audits, and inspections.
People interaction is given in this role. It is not a home office-based job. However, the right person will feel like they are an extension of our office. You will work from the site within multiple time zones and geographic areas. You will do this with numerous subcontracts, client contacts, and members of our operation team. Job costing, change orders, permitting, and safety elements will require interaction with others and team coordination to meet proper accommodation and documentation deadlines.
Work weeks are traditionally 40 hours. However, this is an overtime-exempt position, as it may be required during deadline periods. As a travel-based individual, you will be “representing the company” at all times. Accurate and dependable driving records are a part of the job’s responsibility.
