We are seeking a Mid-Level Test Automation Engineer to be a part of our agile development team to support our flagship application as well as additional software products. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that our software is rigorously tested and stable prior to customer delivery and deployments. Candidate must be a strong communicator and will regularly work with product and account managers to gather feedback and will be highly integrated into our development processes including planning and daily stand-ups. Must be passionate about contributing to continuously improving consumer experiences.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Build, write, configure integration tests for user stories and APIs
Execute and analyze all integration tests
Collaborate with team to identify issues, accurately log and analyze defects and verify fixes with all stakeholders
Collaborate with developers and managers to understand all technical aspects of software products and system specifications
Improve existing testing capabilities by deploying new software testing technologies, frameworks, and methodologies and help drive a culture of high software quality.
Work with test leads, create testing processes, test planning, build test cases, scenarios and scripts to ensure that software products meet user requirements
Develop and/or maintain excellent technical documentation for software products
Work independently and as a member of a cross functional team
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Experience
3 to 5 years working as a software test engineer
Strong with JavaScript + Typescript automation test development
Strong background with testing methodologies and principles
Strong background with automated and manual e2e (End-to-End) software application testing
Strong background with testing full stack web applications
Writing bug reports and using bug reporting tools
Experience w/integration testing frameworks such as Cypress or Jest
Bonus Points
Cucumber and Gherkin / BDD testing experience a plus
General working knowledge of DevOps pipelines
Experience with source control tools (Git)
Familiarity with Linux
Certifications ISQTB Foundation Level, CSTE, or equivalent
