MHE Trainer

Sandvik Mining & Rock is recruiting for an MHE Trainer/Order Picker for our Romeoville warehouse operations.

Sandvik Mining & Rock, the leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry, currently has an opening for an MHE Trainer/Order Picker.

As the MHE Trainer/Oder Picker, you will be responsible for providing effective training of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) drivers across various equipment and support Operations as required.

Job Duties:

• Provide on the job training to forklift operators and other warehouse employees.
• Conducts training sessions for new hires and provides on-going hands on training to warehouse employees.
• Develop new practices/processes to train new and existing employees
• Well versed in all warehouse functions and perform all warehouse jobs using appropriate equipment.
• Keep supervisor informed of the development of team members and problems encountered
• Perform work safely and in accordance with company and customer standards and safety regulations. Report unsafe conditions or accidents to the appropriate person.
• Will work within operations department as required
• Other duties as assigned

Required skills

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in distribution operations
• Preferred prior warehouse training experience
• Material Handling Equipment (MHE) experience
• High school education or equivalent
• Forklift truck & Order picking forklift truck license is essential
