Idaho National Laboratory's (INL)) Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) Drafting group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a MFC Drafter!Our team works an onsite 410 schedule located at our Materials and Fuels Complex with every Friday off.
Responsibilities Include:
- Performs as a member of an integrated engineering project team.
- Works closely with engineers, designers, and other drafters to complete architectural, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical drawings with a focus in piping and instrumentation diagrams.
- Routinely works from notes, sketches or general instruction.
- Demonstrates reliability, consistency and quality in drafting deliverables.
- Provides field/as-building documentation support and prepares new drawings and drawing changes consistent with company and nationally recognized procedures and standards.
- Drafts work will be completed using AutoCAD and Revit computer aided drafting and design software.
- Performs work within the established company procedures. Understand company standards for safety, quality, and efficiency and identify conditions which may impede implementation of these standards, and initiating actions to correct these conditions, including stopping the work if necessary.
- Performs routine tasks independently and receives training to expand knowledge of specialized areas of expertise of assigned tasks.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1 to 2 years related experience
Preferred Requirements:
- Vocational Certificate and 1 year experience
- Knowledge of and experience in the use of nationally recognized standards (e.g. ANSI, ASME, MIL-STD, IEEE, etc.)
- Must have a working knowledge of current versions of AutoCAD or Revit graphics software
- Must have overall understanding of various types of drawings (e.g. mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping, structural, civil, etc.)
