JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Department of Meteorology and Professor Ray Najjar are seeking an undergraduate student to identify and map the facilities that draw water out of the Chesapeake Bay for various uses, including agriculture, power generation, and drinking water. The work will support a new project to identify the risk of saltwater intrusion caused by climate change (sea level rise and drought) to such facilities. The successful applicant will have knowledge of mapping software (such as GIS), data analysis and programming skills, and good oral and written communication skills.
Time commitment: 10 hours per week from March 1 to May 15, 20 hours per week from May 15 to August 15.
