You will serve as a Metalizing Equipment Operator in the MRO Production Department, Production Lines Division, FRCSE of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.Qualifications: Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION performing the most difficult and complex tasks such as; 1. Develop programs for prototypes of experimental repairs involving the application of advanced thermal spray coatings in conjunction with HCAT (Hard Chrome Alternatives Team) and Material Engineering. 2. Determine and make adjustments through the computer control to the various gauges, meters, dials, and valves associated with the equipment. 3. Design and manufacture jigs and fixtures, and templates used in the metal spray process. 4. Perform quality assurance testing on test coupons to verify coat quality. 5. Determine types of gases to be used, wire and powder feeds, flow rates and distance of spray gun from work to achieve the best bonding characteristics.
