Job Duties
- Ensure and enforce all safety policies and procedures are upheld to ensure the wellbeing of our employees. This includes appropriate PPE, proper equipment usage, and maintenance.
- Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts and projects by recommending or implementing measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. (QC)
- Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the fabrication production process.
- Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
- Assure the Production workforce maintains acceptable housekeeping practices for cleanliness and safety in accordance with company standards.
- Assist in the fabrication of all products, including welding.
Required Qualifications – Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
- A high school diploma
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must have at least five years of directly related experience in a Fabrication Shop environment.
- Minimum 2 years in a metal fabrication environment.
- Knowledge of working with metal to produce finished fabricated products.
- Working Knowledge of typical fabrication shop equipment. Brakes, Shears, Saws, Plasma tables, Rolls, and Welders
- Exhibit strong technical aptitude and ability to lead in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be physically capable of performing the work, with ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted.
- HVAC knowledge a plus but not required
