Metal Fabricator/Welder

Industrial Construction Services, Inc. has been setting the standard in construction for the food, beverage, bio-containment laboratories (BSL) and pharmaceutical manufacturing industry for the past 29 years. We have an immediate opening for a Metal Fabricator/Welder.

Description:

• Must have a current AWS welding certification in 4G Stick (SMAW) or 3G MIG (GMAW)
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
• Perform MIG, TIG and other types of weld based on project needs
• Field install welds, including duct work, light fixtures, vents, fans, metal sheeting and other parts
• Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project instructions
• Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations
• De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
• High school diploma/GED required
• 2+ years' experience operating as a commercial welder
• Experience working on construction sites and with power tools
• Knowledge of construction site best practices and safety procedures
• Meets clients and owners demands
• Possess good verbal, and written communication skills
• Pays close attention to details, ensuring safety requirements are met
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be able to work weekends and travel
• Industrial or commercial construction experience helpful
• Some projects might require short-term traveling, such as one to two weeks, but we pay all travel expenses, including lodging and meals. We are looking for a long-term candidate who is looking for a secure and rewarding form of employment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
