Position Overview

We are seeking a Metal fabricator for our plating shop. The chosen candidate will be joining our team to help preserve the condition of our premises, systems and installations.

$2,000.00 Hiring Bonus! $1,000 after 180 days, and $1,000 after 1 year

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine job requirements.

· Operate and maintain metal fabrication machinery, including but not limited to tool machines, shears, brakes, and TIG and MIG welding equipment.

· Cut, shape, and assemble metal components to meet project specifications.

· Conduct quality control inspections to ensure finished products meet industry standards.

· Collaborate with other team members, such as welders and engineers, to achieve project goals.

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines.

· Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed.Report to management on activities and issues

· Other duties and responsibilities as requested and needed

Requirements and Skills:

· Proven experience as a Metal Fabricator or similar role.

· Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

· Strong knowledge of various metal fabrication techniques, including cutting, welding, and forming.

· Experience operating metal fabrication machinery, such as tool machines, shears, and brakes.

· Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of the job.

· Welding certification (e.g., AWS) is a plus.

· High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is preferred.

· Company and job-specific training will be provided as needed throughout employment

· Ability to work well and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.

· Ability to maintain a regular and reliable attendance record

· This is a safety-sensitive position as defined in Minnesota Section 181.950, subdivision 13. Must pass pre-employment drug test.

Physical Demands

· Prolonged periods standing and walking

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

· Manufacturing/distribution facility environment.

· Exposure to plant and warehouse environment including heat, humidity, dust fumes, gases, toxic/caustic chemicals, airborne particles, and significantly loud noise

· Exposure to moving equipment throughout the factory or warehouse

· Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety goggles, hearing protection, steel-toed work boots, safety gloves

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.27 - $25.61 per hour
