The Waveguide Fabricator I and Packaging/Shipping position within the A-Alpha department is responsible for fabricating high-precision waveguide components according to engineering specifications and drawings. This role involves operating precision machining equipment, conducting quality inspections, and ensuring the proper packaging and shipping of finished products. The Waveguide Fabricator I is a crucial team member who plays a key role in maintaining quality and precision standards in waveguide fabrication.

What you’ll do:
· Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine operations needed to complete product.
· Fabricate waveguide components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
· Operate precision machining equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and CNC equipment to shape and finish waveguide components.
· Ensure all inspection tools are well-maintained, in good working condition, and calibrated.
· Inspect fabricated waveguide components for quality and precision, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards.
· Conduct basic testing and measurements to verify the performance of waveguide components.
· Maintain accurate records of fabrication processes, materials used, and quality control data.
· Maintain the plating chemistry and ensure a clean working area.
· Assemble crates or tubes for packaging raw waveguide components for shipment, utilizing saws and various tools to create crates.
· Commitment to adhering to safety regulations and company policies, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and reporting any incidents or hazards.
· Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and team members regarding job progress.
· Team player with a positive attitude, eager to collaborate and contribute to the success of the team.
· Assume additional duties as assigned to meet the evolving requirements of the department.

Requirements:
· Must satisfy Export Control compliance prerequisites, being a "US Person" as described by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15; which encompasses US Citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees.
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· Basic Math Skills
· Experience in surface plating process and layout inspection.
· Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore scopes for waveguide inspection.
· Knowledge of brazing and soldering techniques.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
· Previous experience in waveguide fabrication or a related field is highly desirable.
· Experience in the skillful manipulation of delicate components through manual dexterity.
Physical Requirements:
Requirements typical to machine shop position including, but not limited to:
· Ability to stay in stationary position for extended length of time.
· Remove or replace up to 30 pounds.
· Positioning, arranging, or moving items up to certain heights or at ground level.
· Occasional ascending/descending of Ladders.
· Ability to use/work on small parts or tools for an extended period of time.
· Work continuously using a microscope.

Pay: $17.09 - $20.50 per hour
