Mental Health Therapist

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and seniors, helping them navigate life's challenges and fostering their emotional well-being.

LIVING AND GROWING, LLC (L&G) is a diverse and progressive Mental Health wellness center. We provide Mental Health counseling, training, and consulting to individuals, families, and companies. Our clients enjoy the option of traditional face-to-face or technology-based Mental Health therapies. Due to COVID-19, most sessions are virtual. We treat across the lifespan, this includes child/adolescent and parenting issues to marital, professional, and developmental life transitions. We recognize that Mental Health wellness includes talk therapy, expressive therapies medication management, and group therapies. L&G also provides restorative justice training and consulting for agencies and institutions such as schools, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and social service agencies.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' Mental Health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, couples, and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches to address emotional, behavioral, and psychological concerns.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure holistic care for clients.
• Offer support and crisis intervention as necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients in challenging situations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, adhering to all ethical and legal guidelines.
• Actively participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay informed about the latest therapeutic techniques and research.
• Cultivate a safe and non-judgmental therapeutic environment, promoting empathy, trust, and open communication with clients.
• Advocate for clients' Mental Health needs within the organization and the community.

Qualifications:

• Required License: Candidates must possess one or more of the following Maryland and/or Washington D.C. licenses: LCSW, LGSW, LGPC, LCPC, LCMFT, or LGMFT, within 7 days of hire.
• Education: A Master's Degree or higher in a relevant Mental Health field is required.
• Experience: We are seeking experienced therapists with a proven track record of successful client outcomes.
• Specializations: Therapists with expertise in working with children, adolescents, couples, and diverse populations are highly encouraged to apply. Bilingual therapists will also be given preference.
• Empathy and Cultural Competence: Demonstrated ability to connect with clients from various backgrounds and create a culturally sensitive therapeutic environment.
