The Primary Purpose and Function

Under the direction of the Clinical Director, the primary therapist performs job duties that include case management, initial psycho-social assessments, treatment planning and discharge planning for Intensive Out-patient behavioral health patients as part of an Intensive Out-patient setting. The IOP Manager/therapist is responsible for attending all treatment team meetings and managing care of an active caseload and/or performing group therapy under the direction of licensed personnel. All other job duties as assigned by Clinical Director of the outpatient program.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Clinical Director, the therapist will perform all job duties assigned including case management, assessment, treatment planning, and/or group therapy for adult behavioral health patients in an Intensive Out-patient setting.
• The therapist reports directly to the Clinical Director of the outpatient program.
• Work closely with leadership and facility employees to coordinate operations in a way that supports business goals and client needs.
• Fully understand and maintain policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and patient confidentiality, monitor documents according to company and HIPAA policies.
• Professionally, ethically, and compassionately relates to clients, families, referral sources and staff always.

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctoral level or Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling preferred.
• Experience in Mental Health Treatment..
• Experience with crisis management and de-escalation techniques.
• Comprehensive management and organizational leadership skills required.
• Computer typing skills and ability use various software programs.
• Ability to delegate and supervise tasks as required
• Knowledge of clinical procedures related to day-to-day management of cases and emergencies.
• Specific, required, current, and active licensure, registration, or certification must be maintained in good standing.
