Mental Health Therapist

Position Summary:

Calm Waters Wellness is a holistic, client-centered practice that focuses on healing the mind, body and spirit through integrative practices. In addition to offering traditional therapy in our Apollo Beach, FL office, we offer Christian Counseling and Walk & Talk therapy through a nature preserve adjacent to our office.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our small but growing team. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will provide counseling and support to children, adults, families, and persons with disabilities experiencing Mental Health challenges.

Ideal candidates will have some afternoon/evening availability (2pm-6pm). Specialization in couples counseling, group facilitation, play therapy, art therapy, yoga, or nature-informed therapy is a plus.

Duties:

- Conduct individual and/or group counseling sessions to address various Mental Health concerns for children, adults, and families

- Provide crisis management and intervention when necessary

- Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans

- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate therapeutic interventions

- Utilize evidence-based practices to guide treatment approaches

- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation

- Collaborate with team to ensure comprehensive care for clients

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology or related field

- Valid state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist or eligibility as a Registered Intern

- Proven experience in individual, group, family, or couples counseling

- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques

- Experience working with children, couples, or individuals with disabilities is preferred

- Ability to empathize with clients and provide nonjudgmental support

- Excellent interpersonal skills for building rapport with clients and collaborating with other professionals

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
