- Enrolled in CACREP accredited Master’s Mental Health Counseling program.
- Receiving supervision from Mental Health Counseling program.
- Enrolled in Practicum or Internship I semester. (non-accelerated program).
- Completion of in-person counseling skills and techniques course.
- Fluency in both English/Spanish. (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Experience or specialty in child, family, or couples counseling.
- Experience or specialty in substance use counseling.
- Individual Counseling.
- Telehealth Counseling.
- Group Counseling.
- Child & Adolescent Counseling.
- Crisis Intervention.
- Intake Review.
- Diagnostic Interview.
- Administration and/or interpretation of tests/assessments to clients.
- Treatment Planning.
- Communicate with clients, family members, other care providers regarding treatment planning, progress, updates and recommendations (as appropriate and depending on legal statues)
- Documentation such as assessment, client contact, progress notes, summary reports, etc.
- Conceptualization of client cases and appropriate referrals.
- Manage resources and materials for clinical practice (e.g. books, clinical instruments, questionnaires, assessments, etc.)
- Caseload review and management.
- Functions (in-service training, staff meetings, orientation, supervision, community events)
- Maintaining of office space that is safe and inviting.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Support office operations tasks related to clients or organization.
- Complete office projects related to clients or organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Researching and applying relevant research findings/evidence-based practices to inform treatment planning and interventions.
- Conference/training attendance related to continuing education and best practices.
- Consultation and peer supervision.
- Abide by ethical and legal standards set by the licensing board and the state.
- Abide by HIPAA regulations and practice.
- Conduct and participate in outreach events for prevention, awareness, education, wellness, mentoring, and advocacy activities. (community workshops, training, education, online blogging etc.)
