What You'll Do: As a Mental Health Coordinator within St. Anne’s Early Childhood Education department, you will directly impact young children, ages 0-5 years old. The Mental Health Coordinator will perform a full range of casework, oversight, and related service activities. Service activities may include assessing client needs and developing and implementing intervention plans to meet participant needs.
Duties Include:
- Reviewing developmental and behavioral screening results
- Performing necessary follow-ups
- Managing in-house referrals and confirming the need, while obtaining inform consent from caregivers
- Providing Mental Health psychoeducation and consultation to parents and staff
- Guiding and implementing strategies to personalize programming and address Mental Health related functional impairments
- Evaluate learning environments and group connections, conducting home visits to recommend interventions
- Assisting in unusual incident follow-up and urgent Mental Health crises
- Working onsite at each center to support families with Mental Health inquiries and needs
- Reviewing Mental Health files and close them at the end of the program year, as necessary
- Conducting staff trainings based on Mental Health service requirements
- Meeting with the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) Mental Health consultants for monitoring visits
- Attending staff meetings and recommended training programs, as required
Education Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy
Other Requirements:
- Current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Services (BBS) or the ability to be registered
- 3 years’ experience in management or direct services with young children
- Ability to manage and oversee Mental Health services
- Ability to be coached and guided by 1 to 2 Licensed Clinical Supervisors
- Strong clinical skills in individual, group, and family therapy
- Proficiency in English
- Traveling to all centers in all service areas, as needed
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License
- Valid automobile insurance
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual English, Spanish, Tagalog, and/or Korean preferred
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Experience working with Child Plus program
- Proficient computer, data entry, and clerical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to relate well to children and adults across many socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds
- The ability to provide leadership and stability for program continuity

Position:Mental Health Coordinator
Pay Range: $33.65 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 07:30 AM – 05:00 PM, with a flexible Friday from 07:30 AM – 04:00 PM (09/80 schedule)
Status: Full-time
