Mental Health Billing And Insurance Specialist

Graceful Therapy is a group therapy practice with locations in Oswego and Aurora, IL that provides grace-filled therapy services to couples, families, and individuals. We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Part-Time Billing and Insurance Specialist to join our team at Graceful Therapy, PLLC. As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the Billing and invoicing process to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for our services.

This position will be a part-time, W2 position, offering 20 hours per week of work. Hours can be flexible, including some work-from-home hours, but must be inclusive of some in-office hours.

Responsibilities:

- Verify clients' insurance coverage and benefits prior to an initial appointments to determine eligibility and coverage limitations.

-Verify all active clients' insurance coverage at the start of each new calendar year

- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim denials, rejections, and other billing issues.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records and documentation.

- Process payments, reconcile accounts, and follow up on outstanding balances.

- Provide support to clients regarding billing inquiries and payment options.

- Stay informed about changes in insurance regulations and billing procedures.

- Meet regularly with the Chief Operating Officer of the practice

Requirements:

- Proven experience, minimum 1 year, working in medical or Mental Health Billing, preferably in a similar setting.

- Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

- Strong understanding of insurance terminology, billing codes (CPT, ICD-10), and reimbursement procedures.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, insurance companies, and colleagues.

- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work independently with minimal supervision.

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in handling sensitive client information.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
