About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Medical Billing Manager with a strong background in Mental Health services billing to support our practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of medical billing, from claims processing to payment posting and reporting.

Responsibilities:
· Process billing for Living Well Psychotherapy for both insurance companies and private pay.
· Efficiently manage denials, enter and process claims, and post payments.
· Provide admin and billing support to Mental Health clinicians.
· Assist in digital onboarding of new client intakes and verify insurance benefits.
· Accurately reconcile and analyze billing reports for trend identification.
· Manage multiple projects and maintain patient confidentiality.
· Regular reporting to leadership on the status of accounts and billing; flagging risks and issues
· Communicate with clients about keeping their CC up to date, charge copays and session charges daily, and track aging reports.
· Use Availity, or other portals to check up on ensure timely payment from insurance companies.
· Panel therapists with the insurance companies we work with.
· Work with therapists to make sure client paperwork is submitted prior to first appointment
· Do insurance benefit verification for clients.
· Support development of new policies and practices to support efficiency and high quality care for clients and staff
Skills:
· Strong customer service, leadership, and communication skills.
· Proficient in medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to expedite cash flow, maximize reimbursement, and manage billing department.
· Capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Self-directed, timely, and efficient management of workload.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree (Associate's degree minimum).
· 3+ years of healthcare billing experience, preferably in behavioral health.
· Familiarity with CMS 1500, electronic claims, payment posting, and working denials.
· Certified Professional Coder is a plus.
· Occasional travel to clinician offices for meetings.
