Job responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and return phone calls for a psychiatrist, scheduling appointments, following up with patients and acting as a liaison between doctor and patients
- Handle email from patients to doctor and any email correspondence for doctor
- Scheduling patients, managing the weekly calendar, collecting intake documents, uploading to appropriate software, and making sure all forms are completed on time
- Billing patients after visits when appropriate
- Generate weekly excel spreadsheets of payments for insurance and clinic accounting
- Occasionally support Office Coordinator with clinic scheduling if necessary
- Understanding HIPAA guidelines and maintaining discretion for patient confidentiality
Ideal candidate skills:
- Excellent customer service and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills such as Word, Excel, and the willingness to learn internal software
- Ability and commitment to maintain discretion and patient confidentiality at all times
- Fluent in Spanish is a huge advantage

- Pay frequency is monthly (Is there an option to make this bi-weekly? This is unusual for part time roles and monthly can be hard for lower wage hourly employees with this few hours. I think it’s important to set expectations upfront if you plan to keep it monthly.)
