Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain member and potential member records.
- Receive and reconcile payroll dues collections.
- Process Membership enrollment forms (electronic and paper) in IMS system.
- Log dues payments and create transmittals for accounting.
- Develop reports and spreadsheets to support dues transactions.
- Process dues payments received through the ACH system.
- Create bank transfers from holding accounts to WEA accounts.
- Perform various accounting entries.
- Prepare check requests.
- Verify deposits and disbursement of dues.
- Post Funds Receivables/Transaction Processing in Interactive Membership Services (IMS) and Funds Receivables Services (FRS).
- Support WEA & Automated Payroll Authorization (APA) annual audit as needed.
- Retrieve and analyze financial reports to verify account balance.
- Compose communications to various stakeholders regarding dues deductions, reconciliations, and membership matters.
- Follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Adhere to timelines and deadlines.
- Collaborate with statewide and cross-departmental staff to reconcile and resolve any dues payment issues.
- Respond to all Membership department inquiries from individuals, members, Locals, and field staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Financial and accounting literacy.
- Three (3) years of demonstrated success working with financial and accounting data systems, performing analyses and report creation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter; well-organized; and detail-oriented.
- Strong project management and time management skills.
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
- Familiarity with relational databases.
- Experience with graphical user interfaces (GUIs) to create detail and summary reports.
- Advanced experience with Excel
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint List management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience creating application system documentation and user guides.
- Experience developing and delivering user training programs.
- Experience creating complex query statements to isolate report populations.
- Experience creating SQL statements using Microsoft Access or other resources to update, filter and sort data.
- Experience with IBM Cognos.
