Member Service Representative/Teller

We are seeking a Full-Time Member Service Representative to play a crucial role in assisting our members and helping them achieve their financial goals. Summary:

Responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with our members. Assist members with financial transactions, problem resolution, and account maintenance with the utmost care. Build awareness of new products and services. Assist branch managers with auditing and branch operations.

Primary Functions:

• Accurately process financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
• Provide a warm welcome and offer financial support to educate our members.
• Post transactions to members’ accounts.
• Open, perform maintenance, and close accounts.
• Assist with audits and other tasks assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred previous banking experience (credit union or bank).
• Ability to assist members with resolutions promptly and accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Proficient computer/technical skills.
• Strong customer relationship building skills.
• High Integrity and a strong work ethic is required.
• Bilingual - Portuguese/English

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Professional office environment with moderate sound.
• Flexibility to work: Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., rotating late night until 6:30 and Saturday 9 a.m. - noon.
• Ability to lift to 30 pounds.
• Flexibility to travel to branches, off-site training, or meetings as needed.
• Assist members in person and by telephone.
• Ability to accurately count cash and handle members' transactions.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.75 per hour

Expected hours: 37.50 per week

Experience level:

• 1 year

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Cash handling: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
