Member Service Representative (MSR) Overview

In this position, we rely on you to effectively assist our members with all their financial transactions while providing exceptional customer service. From basic cash handling to withdrawals, deposits, transfers, loan payments, and more, our members depend on you to do everything with precision and care. As needed, you recommend and sell products and services, and direct members to various departments for specific information and/or services that cater to their individual needs/goals. In addition to helping our members, you are happy to jump in and perform a variety of miscellaneous tasks including typing, filing, computer input and answering the telephone. • Welcomes Members.
• Provide account information by phone and in person.
• Provides information about member fees, benefits, policies, and procedures.
• Handles members complaints, submits through proper channels, and follows up with members as necessary.
• Open accounts for members, not limited to shares.
• Receive necessary documents from members when needed.
• Prepares documents to be signed in person and/or electronically.
• Ensures documents are saved based on JCU standards.
• Recommend products and services to members.
• Handles the members' daily needs.
• Keeps excellent notes of member conversations and interactions.
• Providing a variety of transactional services to members, not limited to teller work.
• Assisting members with balancing their accounts, and other requests.
• Performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to working at other branches as needed.

Member Service Representative (MSR) Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a bank teller/in banking preffered
• Prior experience as a financial advisor/financial planner preffered
• Experience handling money.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Typing, Excel, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitive information.
• Friendly and professional.
• High school diploma or GED.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
