Member Service Advisor (Job Description)

Member Service Advisors are responsible for proactively creating meaningful communication with every member and guest, while identifying, anticipating and meeting each of their needs in a timely manner. With the direction of the Operations Manager, and the support of management team Advisors must communicate their in-depth knowledge of and participate in all the club's services, programs, and products. Advisors must have the ability to build rapport and lasting relationships with prospective and current members to meet new member enrollment targets and to create a culture around service that drives member retention and reinforces a professional and exclusive reputation within the communities we serve.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for meeting and exceeding self generated business targets including, leads, appointments, shows, and enrollment targets on a daily basis and monthly basis.
- Answering and screening inbound calls from members and guests
- Building rapport with members and guests upon entry to facility, appropriately executing needs assessment, tour, and enrolling guests into memberships and paid services.
- Upon enrollment, scheduling new members with personal trainers for complimentary and paid services and communicating scheduled appointments with trainers accordingly.
- Open and close facility and responsible for maintaining club cleanliness when not actively engaged in new member acquisition efforts. Including but not limited to:
- POS transactions
- Class registrations and check ins
- Locker checks hourly
- Club walks
- Restocking and facing supplies
- Prepping facility for events and visitors
- Cleaning and checking on the pool
- Towel replenishment and folding
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Documented success in a sales and customer service role
- Confidence to perform on an incentive based compensation structure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiastic, positive, personable and friendly disposition
- Personal passion for health and fitness
- Enjoy working within a competitive team
- Strong time management skills and practices
- Willing and able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Hourly base along with top tier sales commission opportunities for:
- New membership sales (no cap)
- Ancillary sales (Personal Training)
- Quarterly new member acquisition targets.
