SalaryMelt Shop Supervisor::
This position provides supervisory support to plant operations on evening shift to management workforce, monitor production and provide shift reports, ensure adherence to policies & procedures.
Core Accountabilities:
• Ensure work performed is according to safety standards and expectations, providing recommendations when needed.
• Provide supervision for union workforce, assisting with the achievement of optimal production objectives.
• Monitor production, report concerns and assist with resolutions as needed.
• Provide shift reports to department management.
• Coordinate flow of material within operations and provide support where needed.
• Maintain employee time records.
Competencies and Qualifications
• Minimum of A.S. degree from accredited college or technical school or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisor, teambuilding and industrial experience (steel mill experience a plus).
• Effective verbal and written communications skills. Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and work within a team structure to support company objectives and maintain/build positive working relationships.
• Mathematical aptitude with an ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and be confident in decision making.
• Strong mechanical and/or industrial aptitude preferred
. • Ability to manage conflict, coach and mentor others.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.
• Experience with Kronos preferred.
• Experience with maintenance CMM programming, i.e. INFOR or others, preferred.
Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
