Columbia Cottage in Collegeville, PA is looking to hire an experiencedMedication Technician/ Caregiver to help improve the quality of life for the residents in our care. This position starts at a competitive wage of $18.90/hour, depending on CNA certification (not required) and prior experience. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
- Prepares medications for Residents
- Assists Residents in taking medications, as per physician order
- Monitors for effectiveness and untoward effects of medications, and provides education to Residents.
- Obtains blood sugars, vital signs and other bio measurements as ordered
- Motivates, encourages and provides positive feedback to the Residents when assisting with medications
- Follows established policies and procedures for record-keeping on the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and any associated forms related to assisting the Resident with medications
- Provides hands-on care to Residents
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MED TECH/ CAREGIVER
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medication Technician certification required
- Diabetes training required
- CPR/ First Aid preferred
WORK SCHEDULE FOR A MED TECH/ CAREGIVER
The following shift is available for this assisted living position:
- Full-time; first shift (6:00am-2:30pm)
All positions, unless otherwise indicated, have an every other weekend and every other holiday obligation
Shift Differentials: Evening: $1.00, Night: $2.00
