SUMMARY
Installs, repairs, and calibrates most classes of clinical equipment at a component level.
JOB DUTIES
Performs duties assigned by Biomed Manager in accordance with current policies and procedures.
Installs, repairs, and calibrates most classes of clinical equipment at a component level.
Performs planned maintenance and electrical safety inspections.
Assists in the evaluation of new equipment, accessories, and supplies.
Inspects incoming equipment for compliance with coes, standards, and manufacturer's recommendations.
Assists with the administrative responsibilities of the department.
Maintains documentation as required by management and as outlined by current policies and procedures.
Conducts cross training.
Supervises and maintains quality control of services provided by outside vendors.
Establishes and maintains supporting technical literature.
May serve as a member or advisor
Uses office automation hardware and software applications and diagnostic service software appropriate to the equipment being serviced.
Conducts in-service classes and individual training for equipment users.
Assists in the maintenance of a calibration program for electronic and safety testing equipment used by the department.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Associate's Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or electronics or equivalent training and experience required.
1- 2 years of industry experience. Healthcare environment a plus
