Medication Access Specialist

We are looking for a Medication Access Specialist responsible for the specific duties listed below.

Hybrid (train on-site and transition to remote- May need to return to the site for additional training if not meeting expectations.
Your specific duties will include:

• Receiving and processing all requests for medication refills by fax, phone, person-to-person, and by electronic format.
• Working with physicians to ensure refill protocols are in place.
• Using clinic protocols and researching patient information to assist care providers with medication refills.
• Communicating with relevant personnel regarding medication distribution in a courteous and prompt manner.
• Keeping all patient information confidential.
• Answering incoming phone calls and responding to the needs of the caller and/or directing them to the appropriate person for service in a professional manner.

Specific qualifications for the position include: 

• Ability to type 35+ WPM.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn DWP, Sequoia, and other required programs.
• Knowledge of basic pharmacology.
• 1+ years experience required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license.
