We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Technical Services Representative. This role is in Omaha, Nebraska 8-5 Monday through Friday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
- Provide support to Sales, STATS, Customer Service, and Product Management and serve as a reference to the company regarding clinical laboratory functions.
- Responsible for forwarding customer interest and feedback through the customer suggestion process.
- Provide call shadowing and technical service process training for other departments.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our products and develop an understanding of our manufacturing processes
- Identify any potential product problems in the field or incident trends and notify management as appropriate. Maintain file records, follow-up, and closure for all customer inquiries and complaints in the Call Management System.
- Conduct training calls for instrumentation.
- Investigate QC referee referral requests when submitted by the QC specialist.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert as assigned.
- Document and file appropriate customer data and information according to QA policies. Update procedures and documents as necessary to ensure current practices are reflected.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree in medical laboratory technology with minimum of 2 years clinical laboratory experience or Bachelor of Science degree in a related discipline. Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science degree with ASCP certification strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment is critical; interpersonal skills are essential.
- Must be dependable, organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to exercise good judgment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and general knowledge of personal computer software
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Fundamental knowledge of regulatory information as it pertains to our products
- Ability to ask appropriate questions, gather data about existing problems and provide a report to Management.
- Develop a thorough understanding of our services
- Knowledge of good lab practices and clinical laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and the understanding of results on patient healthcare
- Working knowledge of the metric system, science measurement conversions, statistical analysis, and the ability to apply this knowledge to interpret data and resolve problems.
- Familiarity with in-house lab instruments.
- Develop an understanding of Syteline, CRM and Reliance databases.
- Ability to read, understand and comply with all safety procedures, company policies and procedures
