Form of workStreck is recruiting for a talented and professional Medical Laboratory Scientist for a full-time position as a Technical Service Representative. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position offers the opportunity to utilize your technical skills in an office environment.
This position is responsible for developing clinical laboratory educational tools and materials, educating customers on Streck products, and addressing, investigating, and resolving any customer technical concerns via e-mail and telephone for laboratories worldwide. We are looking for a candidate who will take pride in service-oriented work and enjoy using their technical and regulatory knowledge as it applies to the laboratory in a non-bench position.
*** Experience in Flow Cytometry, Microbiology or Molecular Diagnostics preferred ***
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Science with minimum of 2 years clinical laboratory experience or Bachelor of Science degree in a related discipline. Medical Laboratory Science degree with ASCP certification strongly preferred. Clinical lab experience in molecular diagnostics preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent data analysis and problem solving skills
- Excellent phone/e-mail etiquette
- Must be dependable, organized and have attention to detail
- Thorough knowledge of good lab practices and quality control procedures
