We are currently seeking Medical Support Staff.
This is a full-time hybrid position at our Port Orchard, WA location.
This position is for a Medical Support Staff member. The person supports the work of our five prescribers, managing many patient-related tasks. They interface with all clinical and management teams within the organization, assuring a smooth flow of patient care and assisting with all aspects of service delivery in support of our prescribers and their patients).

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Compensation: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
Requirements:
- Graduated from an Accredited Medical Assistant Program with Current Washington State Medical Assistant Certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficient in typing, Microsoft Office applications, and basic technological skills.
- Positive outlook and willingness to train.

Beneficial Skills & Experience:
- Manage provider’s schedule (making sure everything is scheduled properly) PIMSY troubleshooting support for providers and patients
- Reminder calls/messages to patients for appointments and completing assessments before follow-ups and intakes
- When working in the office, assist staff at the front desk with incoming calls
- Maintaining the waiting room and greeting clients
- Take payments for co-pays or balance due
- Placing lab orders Initiating and monitoring prior authorizations submitted via CoverMyMeds
- Initiate medication refills for the provider to review and send
- Managing Release of Information processes (new and pending) & (incoming and outgoing). Client Communications (responding to portal messages from patients)
- Managing the Referral process (internal office and external, including making outbound calls/searching for facilities such as sleep study referrals, TMS, Ketamine, PHP, IOPs, etc.)
- "Paperwork” flow in electronic record (assigning documents in the chart, prepping for provider and patient
- Monitoring forms and assessments completion before appointment). Monitor any pending tasks and follow up for completion (calling medical records for ROIs, reminding patients to get labs/ekg completed, status for referrals, etc.)
- Pre-fill demographics and some clinical information within the scope of practice within EHR (paperwork and electronic forms for the providers to be completed for patients such as L&Is and authorization forms: faxing completed documents to the designated organization
- Create and complete templates for letters, such as Excuse Letters for the provider to review and sign
- Place in portal/fax to employer, housing management, and other agencies as appropriate
