Title of Immediate Supervisor: Vice President of Corporate Integrity
POSITION SUMMARY: Provide support to New View Alliance and its member agencies in the area of compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and contracts.
- Respond to all record requests received by the organization.
- Respond to subpoena and court documents received with assistance from In-House Counsel.
- Safeguards client’s record confidentiality and secure storage to meet HIPAA guidelines and standards.
- Compile, process, and maintain clients’ records in a manner consistent with administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the Agency.
- Close and Scan files for Archiving purposes into the Medical Records system.
- May regularly communicate with Agency staff to clarify information or to obtain additional information for inclusion in the client record.
- Maintain accurate logs and release of information forms for providing client record information.
- Ensure records are maintained and destroyed per agency policy.
- Other duties as assigned
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively with youth, families, staff and community contacts from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds
- Ability to accept supervision and perform as part of a team
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to change
- Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented
- Proficiency with typing and computer skills
- Working knowledge of behavioral healh and the healthcare system
- Must have a high degree of discretion dealing with confidential information
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Records experience preferred
