INSURANCE BILLER CODER

Compensation: $16-18 per hour depending on qualifications and experience

Employment type: FULL time 9:30 to 5:30 Monday through Friday

Specialist’s Medical Office in Houston Texas Medical Center (TMC) is searching for an experienced biller/coder ,insurance verifier (bilingual English/Spanish preferred).

Knowledge dealing with Medicare and Commercial insurance.

C Meds software used.

Candidate must have proficient computer skills (Windows Office) and communication skills, with a welcoming personality.

Must be self-motivated and team oriented.

Full Job Description:

Insurance Related Tasks a) Insurance verification b) Prepare and submit clean and accurate claims to various third-party payers c) Prepare review and send patients statements d) Process payments from insurance companies and prepare daily reports e) Answer billing questions from patients, staff and insurance companies f) Identify and resolve patient billing inquiries g) Daily posting and submitting of all claims

Other Office Tasks:

Answering phones and scheduling patients

Checking in/checking out patients

Calling patients for appointment reminders

Coordinating messages between patients and physician

Collecting co-payments from patient

COVID-19 considerations: Masks are required both patients and staff at this time. Covid-19 vaccination and booster is required

Education:

High School

Experience

Medical billing with ICD 10: 3-5 year

Language

English/ Spanish

Work Location

One location TMC. (Onsite parking provided by employer)
