The Medical Office Coordinator assists medical staff with the issuance of durable medical equipment, trains patients on proper use, and answers questions. Ideal position for medical students wanting to advance in the medical field.
JOB DUTIES:
- Checks the patient schedule daily
- Ensures adequate supply of Durable Medical Equipment (DME), and orders more equipment as needed
- Issues Durable Medical Equipment (DME) to patients, as ordered by the physician
- Trains patients on proper use of the equipment and addresses any questions or concerns
- Ensures that all issued Durable Medical Equipment has been properly logged and accounted for
- Processes paperwork, as needed
- Obtain authorizations for all DME, if needed
- Collaborate with the other teams to ensure excellent patient care
- Other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- One or more years working in a clinic office environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Outlook
- Prominent level of empathy and compassion
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of medical concepts and terminology
- Promote supportive and positive environment for both staff and patients
- Willingness to learn and possesses coachable mentality
- Comply with HIPPA regulations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
