Shift: 5x8-Hour (15:00 - 11:30)

Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract

Salary: $2,016-$2,352/week

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Lab Technician to join our laboratory team. As a Medical Lab Technician, you will perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will work in various disciplines including outpatient, inpatient, and community hospital settings. Your responsibilities will include conducting tests such as ABO/Rh/Antibody Screen & ID, AHG Crossmatch, Antibody Typing, Blood Irradiation, Cold Agglutinins, Crossmatch-Immediate Spin/IgG, Electronic Crossmatch, Rhogam Screening, 24 Hour Urine, Acetone Analysis, Arterial Blood Gas, B-12 Folates, Cardiac Enzymes, Hormone Testing, Immunoassay, Osmolality, Automated Instrument, Manual Differential, Fibrinogen, Occult Blood, Platelet Count, Reticulocyte Count, Sed Rate Manual, Body Fluids, C3, C4, Total Complement, Analyzer, and Microscopic UA.

Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments.
• Analyze and interpret test results.
• Ensure quality control measures are followed.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of tests performed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient care.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Lab Technician
• National certification required: ASCP-MLS or MT, ASCP-MLT
• Experience in outpatient, inpatient, and community hospital settings
• Proficient in performing a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures.
• Knowledge of Beckman chemistry automation is a plus.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
