Medical Lab Scientist II

We are seeking a Medical Lab Scientist II to join their growing team!
Pay Rate: $36-40/hour DOE
Employment: Full time 6 month contract-to-hire
Schedule: 3rd Shift 5pm – 6:30am
Location: Mobile County, Al
Role Description:
- Support the core laboratory
- Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls
- Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care
- Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
- Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
- Assist with processing of specimens when needed
Requirements:
- Generalist experience required; Coag, Hem, Uranalysis, etc.
- Education requirement: BS in Medical Technology / MLS / CLS
- Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience is required
- ASCP or AMT certification is preferred
