Medical General Ledger Accountant

• Job Title: Healthcare General Ledger
• Job Location: New York, NY 10065
• Client: New York City Presbyterian
• Facility: NYP Weill Cornell Medical Center
• Duration: 13 weeks of contract (extendable)
• Shift: 08 hrs./day & 40 hrs./ week (9:00 am – 5:00 pm M-f)
• Pay rate: $25/hourly

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required.

Skills:

• Experience: One year of accounts payable experience.
• Knowledge of purchasing and payable procedures.
• Proficiency in Excel software and Sage (or equivalent)
• Experience with automated accounts payables/General Ledger processes.
• Knowledge of not-for-profit helpful.

Responsibilities:

• Daily accounting activities (e.g., General Ledger maintenance, accounting statement and financial report preparation) in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Familiar with general accounting concepts, practices and procedures
• Relevant software skills.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
