Senior Accountant General Ledger
General Ledger Accountant Salary: $75,000-$80,000
Mid-Bronx Senior Citizens Council, Inc. is currently looking to hire a General Ledger Accounting/Analyst to join our fiscal team.
The ideal candidate would possess skills and experience in the following:
Cash Receipts
Revenue Recognition and Accounts Receivable
Cash Disbursements and Accounts Payable
Subledger Maintenance and Reconciliations
Bank Reconciliations
General Journal Preparations
Monthly Closings
Financial Statement Preparation
EDUCATION
Master's degree in Accounting or Finance; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Experience: 5 years
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
Prior experience or familiarity in a housing-corporation environment and nonprofit is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
Thorough knowledge and demonstrated skill in matters related to accounting and financial policies, procedures, and reporting.

Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines.
