This position offers an exciting opportunity to enter the Medical Device space in a role that has continued to grow. The Medical Device Field Representative assumes responsibilities related to improving and optimizing the knowledge and proper use of The ONE TRAY® System (ONE TRAY® is an FDA-cleared Medical Device used to sterilize and safely transport surgical instruments into the operating room in hospitals and surgical centers) and EZ TRAX™ (An FDA-cleared organizational system for Medical Devices). This position is responsible for all our customers’ education, including public speaking to a few people or over 100 individuals.
This position assists the Education Team in the growth of usage of our company’s products through education, while additionally supporting area Distributors and Representatives when necessary. This position will travel, varies 3+ weeks a month, and will cover the contiguous United States after their 4-month training period. It will be required to report to the office in Dayton, OH. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with no limitations on majors or previous job experience.
Field Representative Job Responsibilities:
-Accomplishes customer service objectives by training, scheduling customer visits, and in-servicing/education.
-Region expectations will be assigned and includes but are not limited to, assisting staff in education, assisting customers with implementation, and other duties as assigned.
-Travel varies but can be 3+ weeks per month. Each trip is self-booked and arranged by the Regional Education Manager and approved by the Director of Education with the specific goal of educating customers. All Travel is paid by IST, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner allowances. Monthly expense reports are mandatory and will be the responsibility of the Regional Education Manager.
-Focuses on contributing customer service information as recommendations to strategic plans and reviews for the facility; public speaking to small and large groups, preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying customer service trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
-Mandatory Office/Educational meeting at IST (Dayton, OH) every Monday. A reliable vehicle is needed to perform this job.
-Track all area sales and business to identify educational needs as well as growth potential. Area reviews will be given each week at the office meeting.
-Will occasionally travel on weekends 2-3 times a year for conferences.
-No prior Medical or work experience is necessary. All Degrees are encouraged to apply.
IST compensation and benefits:
-Average 4-to-6-month training period, before region responsibility is assigned.
-Monthly Salary Range $45,000 - $50,000 and monthly commission on company sales.
