Meet the team:
The Clinical Engineering team serves a vital role in the advancement of Dexcom technologies by bridging product development to clinical safety and efficacy outcomes. As a Medical Device Engineer, you have a direct view to the overall business strategy and goals. You will support technologies coming down the pipeline by integrating the needs of multiple departments across the organization to launch clinical evaluations. You will be responsible for coordinating the key study design inputs and documenting product safety and readiness for human use. You will also be responsible for developing the clinical strategy, study designs, and endpoint evaluations for new technology products in a cross-functional environment.
Where you come in:

  • You lead the cross functional team collaboration to define the necessary testing to demonstrate the safety of new technologies.
  • You align teams across the organization- Clinical Affairs, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Research and Development, and Marketing leading into a clinical evaluation.
  • You drive the cross functional review to confirm the readiness for the clinical evaluations of newly developed technologies.
  • You direct the partnership between Product Development and Clinical Affairs to determine the appropriate in vivo methodologies and metrics to evaluate technologies.
  • You summarize and present study designs, protocols, and results to a broad audience.
  • You lead cross functional strategy discussion, alignment meetings, and study meetings.
  • You develop materials and train internal and external staff on investigational technologies and tools.
  • You support process improvements by researching best practices, analyzing data, and providing recommendations.

Travel Required:
  • 15 - 25%

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 2-5 years related experience or Master's degree and 0-2 years' equivalent experience.

Flex Workplace: Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
