Health Loft, based in Chicago, Illinois, provides medical nutritional counseling from expert registered dietitians (RD's) to clients in most states. We make it easy for patients to see an RD by accepting their health insurance and offering convenient access to a licensed professional via our telehealth platform.

Our Patients: Our focus is on helping as many patients gain access to the knowledge and care of an RD as possible. We see a range of ages and conditions including but not limited to eating disorders, intuitive eating, diabetes, PCOS, weight management, cardiovascular disease, women's health, and more.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Coding, Billing, and Credentialing Specialist to join our remote team. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and efficient processing of billing, coding, and Credentialing tasks to support our mission of delivering exceptional medical nutrition therapy nationwide. This individual should align with our vision and mission and enjoy improving and automating the various workflows that they will be responsible for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately assign and verify diagnosis and procedure codes for services provided.
- Handle all aspects of medical billing, including claim submission, follow-up, and resolution of denials.
- Post payments in a timely manner
- Research and resolve client billing challenges or issues.
- Invoice, collect, and setup payment plans as needed.
- Communicate with clients in a courteous and professional manner
- Manage credentialing and recredentialing processes for healthcare providers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, payer policies, and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with our team of RDs and administrative staff to ensure seamless billing and coding operations.
- Provide support and guidance on billing and insurance-related queries from clients and staff.
- Weekly meetings to review processes and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Certification in Medical Coding (CPC, CCS, or similar) is highly preferred.
- 4-8 years experience in medical billing, coding, and Credentialing within the healthcare industry. Preferably some experience working with outpatient dietitian practices.
- Strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT codes, and insurance processes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a Fully Remote setting.
- Experience with Healthie EMR/EHR, Candid, or Google Suite a plus.
