Description:
The Health Information Coder is responsible for coding and charge review, for billing purposes, all diagnoses and procedures on inpatient and outpatient records. They are also responsible for identifying reportable conditions and information to other Departments within the facility.
- Must be RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCA within 9 months of hire. Job responsibilities will determine which credentials are needed.
- Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, E/M coding, and modifiers.
- Must be able to pass the MMC coding test at 80% accuracy.
- Must be able to type with accuracy.
- Must have good working knowledge of computers and encoders.
- Must be able to work well independently and with others.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
Remote work option for experienced candidates residing in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Shift Time: 8-hour shifts
