Monday-Friday 7am-4pm.
The Medical Clerk provides administrative and clerical duties to the medical department and health and safety team. These duties include filing of medical documents to ensure compliance with our clients requirements pertaining to medical surveillance exams, employee absence management, and return-to-work and fitness-for-duty determinations. Collaborate with other P66 providers or departments to facilitate employee or business unit needs while maintaining confidentiality of protected health information.
Responsibilities include:
- Administrative support to medical team.
- Perform components of Medical Surveillance exams for Sweeny Refinery employees including enrollment/removal from programs, scheduling, pulmonary function test, respiratory fit test, and audiograms and collection of urine specimens.
- Assisting with medical diagnostic administration.
- Ordering departmental snacks and office supplies.
- Work under the direction of Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician.
- Perform company and governmental mandated drug and alcohol testing and assist with administrative quarterly random employee sample.
- Management of medical documentation utilizing imaging procedures and online processes to ensure compliance with our clients requirements.
- Support with absence reporting.
- Support during clinic emergencies.
Required Qualifications:
- Confidentiality and HIPPA compliance with confidentiality issues in the medical clinic, exams, and substance abuse testing. (Contract to be signed with Amanda Guifoyle)
- Strong work ethics
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to prioritize in a multi-faceted work environment
- Excellent problem solving/conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively required
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a team environment
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Occupational Health Management System
- Knowledge of Medical Surveillance Exams and Components
- Knowledge of SAP
- Strong orientation to detail and ability to take initiative as well as accept direction
- Post-secondary education preferred
