We are currently seeking a skilled, personable, and dependable clerk to serve in the Health Information Management Department at LMC. In this role, you will deliver exceptional customer service and will foster positive co-worker relationships. To succeed in this position, you will be confident in your computer skills, committed to exceptional customer service, and possess the ability to work within our iCare team. In order to maintain the trust of the community, the prospective HIM clerk should foster our iCare values of: Integrity, Commitment, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
In addition, the candidate should be able to perform the essential duties of a HIM clerk, as well as meet the qualifications listed (but not limited to):
- Retrieval, Abstraction, & Analysis of all discharged records
- Tracking physician deficiencies/working with providers on timely deficiency completion
- Daily review of Transcription reports
- Release of Information, telephone reception, retrieving records from various departments
- Scanning/validating documents and shredding scanned records
- Detail specific job needing attention to detail and the ability to be responsible for working with all providers
