Medical Billing Manager

Overview:

Northwest Georgia Dermatology is seeking a full-time Medical Billing Manager to provide supervisory oversight and management of all facets of the billing department. Works cooperatively with other managers and administration to ensure timely billing, reporting and patient account management. This is a vital role for our team, as accurate billing is essential for maintaining financial stability and providing quality care for our patients.

Responsibilities:

- Performs overall revenue management including: satisfying timely filing requirements and maximizing billing revenue and collections, and resolution of denied or rejected claims

- Monitors A/R, and monthly payment reports to identify trends and underpayments. Investigates causes and conducts follow-up on unpaid claims. Takes appropriate action to correct and re-bill for reimbursement

- Provides daily updates of revenue cycle status including reports and metrics

- Performs regular audits of daily billing reports to identify coding and billing errors. Works closely with the billing team.

- Researches and maintains up-to-date knowledge of Medical Billing compliance and regulations

- Performs special projects and other duties as requested

Skills:

- Proficient in Medical Billing software and electronic health records systems

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes

- Familiarity with insurance claim submission processes and reimbursement guidelines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
