SalaryWe are looking for a Medical Billing Manager to join our team. We are an established otolaryngology practice that is continually growing. We have 4 offices located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical documentation to ensure accurate billing
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims
- Resolve billing discrepancies and issues
- Maintain patient billing records and update as necessary
- Monitor reimbursement to assess for issues in reimbursement
- Run reports to evaluate for clean claim rate
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and insurance companies
- Communicate with physicians regarding procedures and other services billed to ensure proper coding
-Stay up-to-date on medical coding and billing regulations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a medical biller or in a similar role
- Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and billing procedures
- Familiarity with insurance guidelines and requirements
- Proficient in using billing software and electronic health record systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- eClinicalWorks experience (eCW) required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ENT experience- a plus
- Surgical coding billing experience required
