Medical Billing Clerk

Medisys has an immediate opening for an experienced Medical Billing Clerk. The Medical Billing Clerk is responsible for providing the business office with clerical assistance by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Retrieves files from emails and saves electronically to corresponding practice on the EOB shared drive.
• Scans work and saves electronically to the corresponding practice on the EOB shared drive.
• Retrieves files from the FTP server and saves electronically on the EOB shared drive.
• Addresses envelopes or packages.
• Pulls and photocopies EOB's and attach to secondary claims.
• Stuffs and addresses (by hand) envelopes/packages with HCFA forms etc.
• Sorts, and distributes mail.
• Receives return mail and corrects bad addresses.
• Pulls and photocopies EOB's and attach to secondary claims.

Requirements:

• Must have car/insurance to run to post office
• Must have strong PC experience, focus on Windows programs
• Prior receptionist experience preferred
• Prior medical office preferred
• Bilingual is a plus but not required
