We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures and services. Your role will play a crucial part in ensuring the financial success of our medical practice.
```Responsibilities:```
- Review and verify medical documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG) to diagnoses and procedures
- Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials
- Coordinate with medical office staff to obtain missing information or documentation
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Answer patient inquiries regarding billing and insurance coverage
- Collaborate with medical collection agencies when necessary
```Requirements:```
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or similar role
- Proficient in coding systems (ICD-10, ICD-9)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Knowledge of medical billing software and electronic health records systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Experience in billing through HHA Exchange in required
