Medical Biller

Palmetto Medical is a durable medical equipment sales company that distributes medical equipment and provides billing services to doctors’ offices across multiple states. Our company is located in Florence, a small town which is known for well-established medical care in South Carolina.

We are looking for an energetic, conscientious and detail-oriented individual who enjoys being part of a team and takes pride in their career to work in our office.

Responsibilities/Skills:

• Processing patient data into billing system
• Perform pre-authorizations
• File and verify claims to insurance companies
• Craft Accounts Receivable invoices
• Post electronic and manual payments
• Maintain and update filing and database systems, either manually or using a computer
• End of month reporting, adjustments, and support
• Fit patients with braces and/or bone growth stimulators
• Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization
• Answer questions from vendors, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders
• Special Projects as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Some college coursework or business vocational school education preferred
• Computer savvy and proficient in MS Office suite
• Knowledge of operating standard office equipment
• Previous knowledge of CGM or Brightree preferred
• Requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, organizational skills, both analytical and problem solving, attention to detail and the ability to work with confidential documents.
• Extremely organized. Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
