Palmetto Medical is a durable medical equipment sales company that distributes medical equipment and provides billing services to doctors’ offices across multiple states. Our company is located in Florence, a small town which is known for well-established medical care in South Carolina.
We are looking for an energetic, conscientious and detail-oriented individual who enjoys being part of a team and takes pride in their career to work in our office.
Responsibilities/Skills:
- Processing patient data into billing system
- Perform pre-authorizations
- File and verify claims to insurance companies
- Craft Accounts Receivable invoices
- Post electronic and manual payments
- Maintain and update filing and database systems, either manually or using a computer
- End of month reporting, adjustments, and support
- Fit patients with braces and/or bone growth stimulators
- Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Answer questions from vendors, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders
- Special Projects as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Some college coursework or business vocational school education preferred
- Computer savvy and proficient in MS Office suite
- Knowledge of operating standard office equipment
- Previous knowledge of CGM or Brightree preferred
- Requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, organizational skills, both analytical and problem solving, attention to detail and the ability to work with confidential documents.
- Extremely organized. Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills.
