The Medical Biller is responsible for making outbound calls to patients and providers to collect on accounts, and providing exemplary resolutions to all billing inquiries.
Schedule: Will be assigned a shift within the following hours - Monday through Thursday – 7:00am to 8:00pm CST, Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm CST, Saturday 9:00am to 1:00pm CST
Location: Can work remote, must reside in the Chicagoland area
Salary: $23.00/hour plus monthly bonus based on achieving key performance indicators

DAY TO DAY
- Make outbound calls to collect, post, and manage account payments
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies either electronically or manually
- Identify and resolving patient billing issues and complaints
- Evaluate patient financial status and establish payment plans or arrangements
- Report on status of delinquent accounts
- Correct and resubmit claims to insurance companies and third-party payers
- Investigate and correct rejected or denied claims
- Translate patient information into alphanumeric and numeric medical codes
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPPAA and FDCPA guidelines and regulations
WHAT YOU MUST POSSESS
Must Have:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in medical billing
- Experience in Collections
- Experience speaking with customers and insurance providers
- Knowledge of HIPPA and FDCPA
- Knowledge of medical coding, billing, and third-party billing procedures
Other Skills:
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Experience with Epic or Cerner is a strong plus
