Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals. Responsibilities:
- Perform basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs and charting
- Perform blood draws on patients and process specimens
- Provide patient education and support regarding medical conditions and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up care
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Assist with medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and verifying insurance information
- Prepare examination rooms
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient care
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Proficiency in performing clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, charting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide exceptional patient service with compassion and empathy
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
