Core Responsibilities
- Performs comprehensive histories and physical exams, identifies normal and abnormal findings, including physical, cognitive and psychosocial status.
- Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Develops pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment plans.
- Monitors effectiveness of plan of care.
- Educates patients on disease and treatment plans.
- Performs procedures as trained and appropriately credentialed.
- Documents within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and completes other necessary documents.
- Collaborates and/or consults with physicians and other health care providers as appropriate.
- Educates, counsels, and assists patients and families regarding current health problems, health maintenance activities and preventive behaviors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Department Specific Responsibilities
1. Working independently and with the provider team, perform developmental evaluations and implement plans of care for patients with developmental issues, such as ADHD, anxiety, autism, language disorders, learning difficulties, and cognitive delays. Coordinate care with school and other community providers, incorporating diverse social situations into treatment approach. Advocate for patients and teach caregivers advocacy methods.
2. Participate in weekly patient intake and provider team meetings.
3. Develop, maintain and implement patient education materials.
4. May supervise NP/PA students and educate residents and other learners observing in clinic.
5. Research and community outreach are encouraged. May present at conferences and parent groups. Participate in professional development activities. May serve on departmental or hospital committees or workgroups.
6. Actively participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
7. Remain updated on current practice and medications used in treatment. Incorporate current research into clinical practice.Preferred Schedule:
Full-time role with expectations for coverage during core business hours and flexibility required as necessary to accommodate business needs.

Zero years of experienced required
Certifications / Licenses (Must be current and maintained)
Advanced Practice Nurse
- Wisconsin RN license
- Wisconsin Advance Practice Nurse Prescriber License
- Certification as Advance Practice Nurse
Physician Assistant
- Wisconsin PA license
- Certification by NCCPA
Department Specific Certifications / Licenses
- Prefer specialty focus in Pediatrics or Family Practice
- Experience and/or training in pediatric psychiatry preferred
